I ordered a 14' AirVolution, but actually needed a 16'. Can I order larger blades?
The AirVolution, AirLegacy, and AirLite sizes are determined by the gearbox ratio rather than VFD programming. If a different size is needed, a different gearbox is needed.
Can I order a different controller or mount for my AirLite? What about a longer motor cable?
AirLites are only available with standard components and are not customizable. The only option available for the AirLite is a 75' motor cable versus the standard 50'. If you require premium features such as a longer drop, touchscreen, or networking capability, you will want to use the AirVolution fan line instead.
Can the AirLegacy be changed from an analog remote to a touchscreen or network controller?
The AirLegacy is analog-only and cannot be changed to a different controller type. If you need a touchscreen or network capability, you will want to use the AirVolution fan line instead.
Why isn't the AirVolution available in 120V or 600V, but the AirLegacy is?
The VFDs used for 120V and 600V are only compatible with the analog remote and do not support the premium features available on the AirVolution line.
I am trying to change out a motor on an older AirVolution, but the newer motor is taller and does not fit. Did you send me the wrong part?
The Department of Energy updated motor requirements around 2017 which forced all motor manufacturers to increase the size of the motors we use on our fans. While the motor is taller than your original motor, it should still fit in your frame. Rather than simply removing the motor, you will need to remove the gearbox from the fan frame, bolt the motor to the gearbox, and then place the entire motor/gearbox assembly into the frame. It will be a tighter fit than the old motor, and you may need to reverse the bolts holding the top of the frame to the mount, but it will fit.
