A CFF Fault (fault 3 on the touchscreen) is a configuration fault. The VFD has detected that there is an inconsistency between the parameter configuration and the hardware. This is commonly seen when switching parts of a VFD, but we do not do that at MacroAir, so that can be ruled out. Below are the possible causes for our application.
1. The parameters on the drive are incorrect. Contact MacroAir Technical Support to verify the VFD programming.
2. An older keypad is being used. This fault code can appear if a VFD is replaced, but an older version touchscreen is being used. Contact MacroAir Technical Support to verify that the touchscreen programming is compatible with the drive.
3. The VFD is damaged. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, a replacement VFD is necessary. Contact MacroAir Technical Support to assist with any replacement parts.
