Can I Cut The Provided Motor Cable To A Shorter Length?

The MacroAir-provided VFD motor cable can be shortened if necessary, but please take the following precautions:

1. Test the fan with the entire length of factory cable prior to modifying the cable. If this is not done, and there are any issues with the operation of the fan, it will be very difficult to diagnose and may not be covered under warranty.

2. For AirVolution, AirLegacy, and AVDX fans, ensure that the length of cable is long enough so that the VFD control panel can be mounted outside of the blade sweep. Installing the VFD control panel above the blades is not recommended and can cause difficulties in the future since the disconnect switch is not accessible during fan operation.
