If a fan is running in the reverse (clockwise) rotation when the forward (counter-clockwise) button is selected (and vice versa), your motor is wired out of phase. Two leads need to be swapped on the OUTPUT side of the VFD in order to reverse rotation. You cannot swap two leads of the incoming power to reverse rotation.
For models with remotely mounted VFD control panel, the swap is most easily done on the output of the VFD.
For models with an integrated VFD control panel above the mount, it is best to swap two motor leads of the motor cable where it terminates on the bottom of the fan.
Some models require a motor calibration to be performed after switching wires. If your fan is not running properly after changing motor wiring, and you are unsure if your model requires a calibration, please contact MacroAir Technical Support.
