If fans will scan into the AirLynk, but no fans are showing up on the Dual Control, the following will need to be confirmed:
Software Version: Press the Settings button in the upper-right corner of the Dual Control to view the screen settings. The software version will be displayed here. All Dual Control software versions start with DC. If the software version does not start with DC, the controller will need to be updated. Please contact MacroAir Technical Support for assistance.
Wiring: The Dual Control wiring diagram is below. Note that it is wired differently depending on what your chosen BMS protocol is.
- If BACnet IP is used, use Controller A (Modbus RTU, RS485 Port). Plug the other end of the CAT5 cable into the MSTP port of the AirLynk.
- If BACnet MSTP is used, use Controller B (Modbus TCP/IP, Lan A ethernet). Do not use the LAN B ethernet port. Plug the other end of the CAT5 cable into the IP port of the AirLynk.
Network Settings: Both the Dual Control and the AirLynk need to have their network settings properly configured depending on the chosen BMS protocol.
BACnet IP
1. Ensure that the following fields in MSTP settings on the AirLynk are set per the below:
- Proto: Modb
- Data: 8
- Baud: 19.2
- Parity: Nul
- Stop: 1
2. Ensure that Set Control on the Dual Control is set to "RTU". This screen appears when a Dual Control is started up for the first time, but can be re-accessed by calling MacroAir Technical Support for a password.
3. Cycle power to both the AirLynk and the Dual Control after all changes are made to any communication settings.
BACnet MSTP
1. Ensure that the following IP settings are used on the AirLynk.
2. Ensure that Proto is set to "BACn" in the MSTP settings on the AirLynk. The remaining fields must be set to the correct values for your BMS.
3. Ensure that the IP address and subnet mask for LAN A are set on the Dual Control. The last 3 digits of the IP address on the Dual Control must be different than the last 3 digits of the AirLynk IP address. The Subnet mask must be set the same on both devices.
4. Ensure that Set Control on the Dual Control is set to "IP". This screen appears when a Dual Control is started up for the first time, but can be re-accessed by calling MacroAir Technical Support for a password.
5. Cycle power to both the AirLynk and the Dual Control after all changes are made to any communication settings.
